Overview
Pokhara (820 m), Nepal's second city, spreads along the shore of Phewa Lake, whose calm surface mirrors the Annapurna range. Itinerary
Phewa Lake Boat Ride
Board a boat on Phewa Lake, Pokhara's emblem, for about 30 minutes, enjoying the reflection of Machapuchare and the Annapurnas on the water. A visit to the lakeside Tal Barahi temple is also possible.
World Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa)
Up to the white stupa on the hill, with a grand panorama over the Pokhara valley, Phewa Lake, and the Annapurna range. Built by the Japanese Nipponzan-Myohoji order, it stands as a symbol of the bond between Japan and Nepal.
Davi's Falls & Gupteshwor Cave
See Davi's Falls (Patale Chhango), where the river plunges violently into an underground cave, then cross the road to the great Gupteshwor Mahadev limestone cave enshrining Lord Shiva.
International Mountain Museum
A rich museum on Nepal's mountain cultures and the history of Himalayan climbing — from the first ascent of Everest through to the modern era.
